  • Camp Elim has all kinds of employment opportunities, from paid to voluntary positions.
  • All of our Counselors and Counselors in Training (CIT's) are trained during the Staff Orientation which takes place prior to the start of camp.
  • During orientation staff receive leadership training, basic First Aid training, basic camper management, and more.
  • All staff must complete and pass a background check through their local RCMP detatchment.
  • Counselors are paid at least minimum wage and receive free room and board for the duration of the Summer Camp program. For more information click on Counselors.

Remember that really cool counsellor who told crazy stories and wore army surplus clothes?

 

Now is your chance to be that counsellor. If you have completed grade twelve, then apply to Camp Elim as a camp counsellor this summer. And why stop there? If you are a certified life guard or love singing, then apply as a camp life guard or song leader. Have fun growing in your faith as you help young children nurture their own relationship to God. Have fun going to camp and get paid for it!

So you want to go to camp but are not crazy about being a camp counselor. Or perhaps you foolishly think that you are too old to work at camp. Fear not. There is a place for everyone at Camp Elim. In fact, every year Camp Elim relies on the good will of people just like yourself to volunteer their time and talents for one week, two weeks or for even the entire summer.
